Here’s how your day-to-day looks like

As a Software Engineer, you will be touching on some of the most interesting VPN-based products available in the industry. You will be in close contact with the Product Management organization to produce the best engineering solutions for our highly demanding customers.

Security, reliability, high availability, and scalability will be your everyday challenges in a company that has a great variety of products tailored to the needs of customers looking for the best internet protection solutions. You’ll get to know different protocols, standards, and regulations in the ever- growing security industry.

No day will pass without discussing the architecture of a fresh-baked feature that aims to improve the team’s input and the customer experience in meaningful ways.
At the end of the day, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that our users and the internet in general, are more secure thanks to you and your team.

Responsibilities

  • Write “clean”, well-designed code
  • Produce detailed product specifications
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure
high availability, strong optimization, and functionality.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Follow industry best practices
  • Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and
tools if necessary
  • Discuss roadmap and feasibility of feature requests.
  • Participate in peer review sessions to ensure code quality.
  • Tackle technical challenges by thoughtfully leading collaborative efforts
based on the teams’ strengths.
  • Engage in architecture discussions to define the best course of action.
Qualifications Must have:
  • Proven proficiency in Python.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.
  • Experience working in scrum teams and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Proficiency in English capable of explaining complex concepts with clarity.
Having experience interacting with stakeholders and customers is
desirable.
  • Experience releasing software to production in an iterative and painless
way.
  • Having successfully applied quality assurance processes throughout the
software development life cycle, e.g. unit test, integration test, load testing, performance testing, among others.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of different languages/frameworks/architectures in different environments.
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • DevOps practices
